iPhone and iPad subscription

I recently downloaded and paid for the Kaiser app on my iPad. However I cannot get the app to work on the full version on my iPhone only trial version , even though I am logged into my Apple ID the same as my iPad. Do I have to pay for another version for my iPhone ?
