Community Screen

Kaiser Network was designed using hidden popup menus.  Anything you click on will bring up its menu selection.

Community (Menu)

This will allow you to Disconnect or Re-Connect with the community.

You may also Refresh the tables to make sure that they display the correct information incase of a

data error in the internet transfer.

Note: If you disconnect from the community and want to reconnect then click on Community > Connect To Community

Options (Menu)

Use this button to turn Sound Effects or Voice Effects on or off.

Turn cover the 3 on or off before entering a game

Turn First sluff on or off before entering a game

Host (Menu)

This is used to start a game. If you use a Router please see the section on Routers and Firewalls.

If you choose to host a game then this allows others to join your game.

Up to 5 players may join your game. A maximum of 4 players and 2 spectators including yourself.

There are 3 types of games to choose from for a Host

Beginner games are for people that are new to the game of Kaiser. Points are added.

Pro-Player is for the many that already know the game inside and out. Points are added.

Unrated games are for practice and Points will not change.

Private games are so that you may keep out unwanted players. You must set a password to be used to enter your game.  Avoid using your username password. Any player that tries to join a Private game will be asked for the password that you chose.  So you can tell only the people that you want to join.

Note: If you are a host then all players will be connecting to your game. This means that you are in control of all aspects of the game.

This includes who stays and who plays. If you do not want someone in your game only the Host can remove them.

A Host also controls when the game starts or when a new game can be requested.

If a Host leaves the game then all the players in that game will be ejected back to the lobby.

Server Hosted (Menu) This is an alternative way for anyone to Host a game regardless if they have a Firewall or Router. Hosting a Server Hosted game will  use the Kaiser Server as an Echo Server to relay all connections back to yours. This method may be slower then using the basic Host games.

Note: Only one computer from each Router may  use the Server Hosted at one  time.

Joining a game

To join a game you need to select "Join" from a table that is listed. If there are 6 players including the Host in the room then

you will see "Full" instead of join. You can not join a table that is full until another player leaves.

If the game is private then you will be asked for the password.

You are Ranked

Each player that joins the community will be ranked. Your ranking depends on your total points accumulated out

of how many players in total. Your ranking is a position on the Community according to your points and how many

players have ratings on the Kaiser Community.  More points mean a better Rank.

Friends List

To add a user to your friends list you need to select their name from either the lobby or from Users Online during a game.

To remove a friend from your list, select the user from the list of friends located in the lobby and choose remove.

This list is saved with your personal settings and will be available each time you log on.

If the Friends Online Alert is on then you will hear a special sound when each user logs on.

Ignore List

Select a user from the list of users and choose Add to ignore list

When you add a user to your ignore list then you will not see any of their chat messages.

Ignored users will not be able to Page you, or join your games if you are a host. Use this option if some one is bothering you.

This list is saved with your personal settings and will be available each time you log on.

View User Details

Select a user from the list of users and choose View Profile

Selecting this will show you this users Personal Profile information if they entered one when they created their username.

This menu option is also available under Top 5 Ranked and while playing in a game.

Feedback

By selecting a User Name  you will have the option to give the user a Positive or Negative feedback point.

A check mark will be placed beside Add Positive or Add Negative once you have selected. You may reverse the feedback

by selecting the opposite choice. The feedback you send is not seen by any other user and is limited to 1 point from each

computer. This means that you cannot send multiple feedback for a single user

A users feedback can be viewed by selecting View user Details.

Show Friends Chat Only

When you select Show friends chat only, then the only messages you will see are from any one in your Friends List.

If you have no friends in your list then this selection will be unavailable. This does not filter out any messages that you send out.

Filter Foul Language

If you would not like to see swear words then turn this option on.

Foul words will be replaced with FOUL!!! instead of the actual word.

Because Kaiser is open to all ages this option should be used for children.

Local Network Games

If you want to either Host or Join a Direct Network game on your local network outside of the Community, such as at work.

You would first disconnect from the community by clicking Community > Disconnect From Community

When you play games off the Community then your points and rating will not change.

Hosting Direct Network

Click  Host > Direct Network Game to be a host computer.

Joining Local Network Games

A Join button will appear when you are off the community.

Click Join to join a IP address of a hosting computer on your network

You must enter the IP Address of the computer that is Hosting. Your Host will see their IP Address number after they have hosted.

Network games can also be played across the Internet by entering in the IP address of the hosting computer.
