Title: Incorrect Seat in Tournaments
Post by: fate on May 21, 2009, 08:28:36 PM
Hey Kevin
there has been 3 or 4 times where I have tried to play early tournament and I cannot get in. It says incorrect seat, then I can't join. What do we do when that happens? Thanks

What that means is according to how you are scheduled you are not taking the seat across from your partner. Now if its not a permanent message then it just means you took a seat at the same time as your opponent did and they choose the opposite seat first. Its a timing situation.

Ok, well it happened again, so the host tried starting the table again, that didn't work. so her partner tried hosting the table and it still did not work. I'm not sure what to do. I would like to play early tournament some nights, but I can't seem to join. Any suggestions?

Okay what i need you to do is take some notes when it happens again.

#1) Exact Date and Time
#2) Did you get disconnected from the Tournament at any time?
#3) Did you get the schedule for that round?
#4) The name that appears on the seat across from the one you are trying to take

with all of the above i can look into what is happening
please don't leave any of the 4 question as an unknown otherwise i wont be able to find out.

Ok , it just happened again.

I did not get disconnected at all. The first round schedule came up with Montey as my partner, to play against Rewind and Albina. He sent an invite and I joined the table. When I got there I pressed to join across from my partner and it said incorrect seat.

Thanks
