Title: bot playing error
Post by: AllanG on June 15, 2018, 02:50:13 PM
Problem:
My bot (partner) sloughed the three of spades (trump) instead of taking the five with higher trump.

Situation:
I was playing Kaiser Four alone, Pro-Player.  My bot ("12 o'clock") was forced to take the bid (7), making spades trump.  We were well ahead on the points count for the hand and game.  The seventh card of the (sixth) hand.

Card Play
1. Bot "three o'clock" led the five.
2.  I play 10 of clubs
3.  Bot "nine o'clock" plays queen spades.
4.  My bot (twelve o'clock) plays the 3.

The bot should have taken the five with his King of spades, going over the "9 o'clock" bot's queen trump, but played the three of spades instead.    I tried to do a screen shot, but did not succeed.

Seems odd, why would bot lead the 5? They usual do that if they assume their partner has the card to take it.

Pretty straight forward for the bot to know to take the 5 if it has the higher trump and last play. Ill see if i can find that code maybe its just situationally wrong.

...another bot playing error.  Bot played the last card and could have trumped the five with the three of spades, spades trump, but sloughed a different card instead.

Allan are you using Kaiser Four fully updated?

To check if fully updated press "Update" from the Login Screen.

This also would depend on who the host was for that game.
I issued a Update to Kaiser Four shortly after it was released to fix some paying problems with the Bots.
Ive noticed that some people using Kaiser Four are ignoring the update notice.
